It's me again.
We have moved our website to another host and after I configure LVR and test the connection I've got the following error:

I can connect to the server with same settings when using Total Commander or an FTP client.

Reading the response message, it looks like ftp server is wrongly configured, or domain name it uses has incorrect entries in for reverse DNS.
It is possible that common ftp clients are less restrictive.
Since reporter use .NET build-in FTP methods which are considered as working as expected, I suggest to check FTP configuration/contact administrator

I wrote to the hosting company and they said they need a more detailed log to solve the problem. They want to know at which FTP command does it get stuck. Checked the log file but I only found the same error message. Any clues?

All we have is the message reported by .NET you have shown on screenshot.
To me it sounds quite straightforward.
