Here is the general outline of the proposed rules for SLS WC series:

1. General statements

1.1 The competition may be entered by any league, whether based on the SLS league system or not.

1.2 If a driver takes part in several leagues, they must select only one of those leagues to compete within the SLS Word Cup series.

1.3 All competitors must remember to have a sense of fair play while racing.

1.4 Each league delegates at least one person responsible for dealing with all formalities on the PRS forum.

2. The Rules

2.1 The length of all races will be 25 %. All driving aids must be off, except for automatic clutch. Additionally, the cockpit view is the only permissible driving view.

2.2 All races will be held according to the cup system.

2.3 In the quarter-finals all leagues from one group will race each other two times.

2.4 Each pair of leagues will be competing against each other twice. The participants will compete on each other’s server alternately, that is the first race will be held on the server of one league, the second race on the server of the other league.

2.5 The racing circuit that the races will take place on will be selected by the server’s host. The name of the circuit must be announced at least one week before the race.

2.6 Each competing league will nominate one driver for each of the following eligible cars:

Ferrari F550
Saleen S7-R
Ferrari 575
Lamborghini
Lister Storm
Chrysler Viper
Chevrolet Corvette
Porsche Bi Turbo

2.7 The drivers will use the game-default car liveries (skins).

3. Scoring system

3.1 Each driver will score points for overtaking the opposing team’s car (one point for one car). For example:

1 league A - overtook 3 opponents from group B
2 league B - overtook 2 opponents from group A
3 league B - overtook 2 opponents from group A
4 league A - overtook 1 opponent from group B
5 league B - overtook 1 opponent from group A
6 league A – did not overtake anyone

league A - 4 points
league B - 5 points

Think 25% race (45mn) is too short.


Don't understand scoring system:

I've team league A and league B.
Driver league A with Lister finish 3 and driver league B finish 6
League A has 3 points (6 - 3) right?

If a driver of league B don't finish, what happen?

I think what he means is that if u dont overtake anyone eg lose a position or dnf you receive no points for that race?

25% race length is just a suggestion, maybe it's not that long but the race distance must be matched to a situation where every car has equal chance to win. So in this case it's all about fuel usage and refueling. We know that every car is capable of driving 25% distance but just a few cars can achieve 33% without refueling and that's why they will have big advantage. If there will be a situation where the lenght of the race will be increased it has to be around 38-40% and in that case propably every car should have to pit.

About the rules, points for every driver are given for amount of drivers from opposite team that are lower classified at the end of the race. Ofcourse everybody is classified even drivers with DNF.

I'll prefere 50% race than 25% race, because more strategies, less possibility of crash because drivers more time to win.
